Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in a remote telehealth setting. As a critical member of our counseling center, you will provide exceptional support and therapeutic services to children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 105,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus and opportunities for professional advancement.

Work Environment\n

Working remotely from Tacoma, Washington, you will leverage telehealth technologies to connect with clients and provide therapy. Our telehealth model allows for flexible scheduling while maintaining clinical effectiveness, especially for families who may face transportation or accessibility challenges. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to identify the unique needs of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that take developmental stages and family systems into account.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a broad range of mental health issues, tailoring approaches to evaluate progress effectively.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with tools to create nurturing environments for their children.
\n
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists, educational staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a comprehensible care plan.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of young clients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources that can aid their progress.
\n
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations while pursuing ongoing professional development opportunities.
\n
• Remain current with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. You will work directly with the patient and their family members, fostering collaborative relationships that enhance treatment effectiveness and family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent mental health treatment, with knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Proven experience providing psychotherapy and family counseling to children and adolescents.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect with children and families in a compassionate manner.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies to document patient care effectively.

• A collaborative spirit and the ability to function well within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, specifically with children and adolescents.

• Experience in telehealth or remote counseling methodologies.
