This remote position allows you to create a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle while engaging effectively with clients through telehealth platforms. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the specific needs, challenges, and goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect the latest evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions utilizing motivational interviewing techniques and cognitive-behavioral therapy principles to foster self-awareness and recovery.

• Lead engaging group therapy sessions that promote peer support, sharing of experiences, and collective learning.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and addiction specialists to ensure cohesiveness in care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services as needed during substance-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, effective coping strategies, and available support resources in the community.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation that aligns with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and engage in ongoing professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, ranging from adolescents to adults, who require assistance in navigating recovery challenges. The clients often come from various socioeconomic backgrounds and may face co-occurring mental health issues. Your empathetic approach will help inspire trust and promote recovery-focused outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic program.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of substance use disorders, coupled with a strong background in evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.

• Exceptional communication skills and an ability to establish rapport with clients through a non-judgmental, empathetic lens.

• Knowledge of and adherence to ethical standards and professional boundaries in all client interactions.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarization with digital health technology.
\n
• Strong ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with diverse populations, especially underserved communities, is highly valued.

• Advanced training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or Trauma-Informed Care approaches.

• Experience in managing case load effectively while delivering high-quality patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare coverage, retirement savings with employer-matching contributions, and generous paid time off (PTO).
