The Better Living Psychotherapy Center is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our esteemed practice on a full-time remote basis. In this vital role, you will engage with clients to assess their mental health status and formulate tailored therapeutic strategies to address their unique challenges. You will be instrumental in promoting mental well-being among individuals dealing with various issues, including substance abuse, anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while providing outpatient mental health services. You will connect with patients through secure teletherapy sessions, utilizing various technologies, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, to maintain accurate client documentation and treatment plans. Our practice emphasizes a balance between professional independence and collaborative support from a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health to identify specific needs and challenges.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that leverage evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Facilitate regular therapeutic sessions, helping clients develop coping strategies and tools to manage their conditions effectively.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and primary care practitioners, to ensure integrated care for clients.
• Utilize EHR systems to document sessions, track client progress, and manage administrative responsibilities efficiently.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and training sessions, enhancing your expertise in mental health practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will involve working with a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health issues. This range includes individuals struggling with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, and behavioral issues. Your ability to adapt your therapeutic approach to meet the cultural and individual needs of each patient will be crucial in fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.
• Profound knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy, especially using culturally responsive methods.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
• Track record of upholding professional boundaries and ethical standards in clinical practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, enriching the therapeutic process for clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
