Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to accurately evaluate their psychological needs and conditions.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that take into account individual developmental stages, cultural backgrounds, and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions targeting the relational dynamics that positively influence mental health outcomes.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans, ensuring that all aspects of a young patient’s health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention support during episodes of acute emotional distress, offering immediate strategies to young clients and their families.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health topics, discussing treatment options, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while using advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through training sessions and team consultations to stay updated on current trends and research in the field of child and adolescent mental health.

This role focuses primarily on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, often in a family context. Qualifications\n

• Education: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is required.

• Experience: At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
