Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional abilities and impairments, tailoring treatment plans to their individual needs.
• Implement and modify treatment strategies based on ongoing assessments of patient progress, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as exercises, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to improve mobility and alleviate pain.
• Document patient treatment and progress thoroughly and accurately, maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment protocols and the use of assistive devices to promote independent living.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on care strategies and holistic treatment programs.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, training, and networking within the physical therapy community.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license to practice in Virginia.
