Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our expansive 5,000 square feet rehabilitation facility, equipped with cutting-edge sports medicine technology. You'll be joining a dedicated team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA) who are committed to facilitating optimal patient outcomes in a supportive and dynamic atmosphere. Our facility is conveniently located in Huntington Beach, allowing easy access for both staff and patients alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize and fulfill the unique goals and needs of each patient effectively.
• Manage a patient load that allows for personalized attention and effective treatment, aiming for one patient per hour.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to develop tailored treatment plans that enhance mobility and function.
• Implement cost-effective treatment options focused on enhancing clients' motion, reducing dependence on medications, and exploring non-surgical alternatives.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs that address the specific conditions and goals of individual patients.
• Provide ongoing motivation and support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to maximize their functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.
• Document all aspects of patient care using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who require outpatient orthopedic care, which includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clientele typically consists of adults covered by private medical insurance looking for specialized rehabilitation services. Your role will be vital in enhancing their quality of life and restoring functional capabilities, ensuring they can return to their daily activities effectively.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in California with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills, coupled with proficiency in designing and executing effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy is preferred, highlighting your ability to manage complex cases effectively.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy, particularly in relation to orthopedic injuries.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
