Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, enhancing muscle function, and maximizing client capabilities in line with individualized care plans.
• Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and educational support as needed.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests to tailor therapeutic approaches effectively.
• Assess clients' home environments and provide recommendations to facilitate independence and improve quality of life.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise instruction, and the use of physical agents.
• Conduct evaluations and fittings for prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating closely with healthcare teams to ensure specifications meet patient needs.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure thorough documentation of patient progress.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary case conferences to offer insights into treatment planning and ongoing evaluation for complete care integration.
• Collaborate with clients and families, educating them on therapy programs and the use of therapeutic devices.
• Complete timely documentation and submit necessary orders in compliance with branch policies.
• Support and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring clinical oversight and adherence to PT standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and other tasks as assigned to meet company objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work at Baystate Therapeutics will focus on a diverse population of patients requiring outpatient rehabilitation services. Many clients will be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that limit their physical abilities. You will have the opportunity to implement effective therapies that promote mobility, strength, and independence while addressing the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• DPT (Doctorate in Physical Therapy) from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia with a clean history free of sanctions or board penalties.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of contemporary physical therapy practices supported by evidence-based research.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically Web PT, for precise and efficient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within outpatient rehabilitation settings, preferably in a range of therapeutic modalities.
• Ability to design and implement comprehensive exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to diverse patient abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
