The successful candidate will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Richmond, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, improving muscle functionality, and maximizing patient independence within their capabilities.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the delivery of care, ensuring the fidelity of treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic and prognostic tests to assess patient function across muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capacities.
• Advise on modifications to the home environment that could enhance patient rehabilitation and independence.
• Provide in-home physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, including techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and application of physical agents.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team case conferences to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation—including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries—using our electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively.
• Monitor and report on changes in patient conditions, making recommendations for adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on the use of physical therapy devices and overall therapy programs.
• Complete periodic assessments and care plan reviews, incorporating patient feedback and outcomes into future treatment adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients recovering from surgical procedures, trauma, or chronic conditions who require rehabilitation services within their homes or in a controlled setting. Lifepoint Therapeutics offers a broad spectrum of care, including geriatric rehabilitation, pediatric therapy, and recovery from sports injuries. Our approach emphasizes a collaborative relationship with patients and their families, honoring their unique circumstances and goals for recovery.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the State of Virginia.
• Demonstrated mastery of manual therapy techniques and a thorough understanding of clinical protocols.
• Exceptional skills in creating and executing tailored exercise regimens that meet diverse patient needs.
• Familiarity and proficiency with EMR systems, particularly Web PT.
• Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices and techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams comprised of physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Skill in adjusting treatment modalities based on patient response and therapy outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
