Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma history and develop personalized treatment strategies.

• Construct and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building, adapting as necessary according to patient progress.

• Deliver evidence-based therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), within both individual and group therapy frameworks.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, providing a supportive community for clients to share, learn, and heal collectively.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for your patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional stabilization.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma effects, coping strategies, and community resources available for further support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines to protect patient privacy.

• Engage in case consultations, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest trends in trauma care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals exposed to natural disasters or accidents. Your role will significantly impact their healing journeys, equipping them with tools to regain control over their lives and foster emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Maryland.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
