Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our facility in Hempstead, where a supportive and collaborative atmosphere prevails. You will work alongside a committed team of cardiologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage patients presenting with various cardiovascular conditions such as Hypertension, High Cholesterol, and Coronary Artery Disease.
• Provide outpatient Electrophysiology services, addressing abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias.
• Administer stress tests and interpret results to guide patient management and treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with a team of cardiologists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Prescribe medications and perform procedures as necessary, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines.
• Facilitate patient education, empowering individuals and their families with knowledge regarding their conditions and treatments.
• Refer patients to specialists within our organization as needed, streamlining care for enhanced patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve outpatient cardiology patients, including those with complex conditions requiring specialized management. The patient population may include individuals experiencing acute exacerbations of chronic illnesses, as well as those seeking routine care to manage cardiovascular risk factors. You'll be instrumental in improving health outcomes and fostering long-term relationships with your patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license and certification in a relevant subspecialty.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously and within a team setting.
• Must have passed the appropriate certification exam and maintained a current license.

Preferred Experience

• Prior clinical experience in cardiology or related fields, though recent graduates with relevant training are also encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with outpatient settings and multidisciplinary care teams is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
