Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to create detailed and individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing a variety of treatment modalities—including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional movements—to help patients alleviate pain and improve their mobility.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed while sharing these updates with the healthcare team.
• Collaborating with physicians and other professionals to optimize patient care and share advancements in therapy.
• Instructing and training patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises and the use of assistive devices to ensure effective at-home continuation of care.
• Engaging in ongoing education by participating in workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay current in therapeutic techniques and industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population ranges from children recovering from sports injuries to seniors rehabilitating post-surgery. You will work closely with individuals experiencing orthopedic challenges, such as fractures, arthritis, post-operative rehabilitation, or sports-related injuries, ensuring tailored care throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other documentation technologies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to variations in patient care needs.

Preferred Experience
