Work Environment

This role requires a hands-on approach as you conduct therapy sessions in the patients' homes, creating a more comfortable and familiar setting for recovery. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians to determine their physical condition and rehabilitation needs.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, function, and quality of life.
• Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and procedures tailored to each patient's specific needs, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring data reflects adherence to the prescribed plan of care.
• Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and maintaining a positive rapport with patients and their families.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes, sharing insights, and adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback.
• Providing education and training to patients and caregivers on treatment protocols, exercises, and methods for addressing their specific challenges.
• Meeting or exceeding established utilization goals and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on orthopedic patients, although you will also have the opportunity to engage with pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine populations. This diverse caseload will allow you to apply a wide range of therapeutic techniques while making significant impacts on the healing journeys of patients from various backgrounds.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy, allowing for practice in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effectively interacting with clients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills necessary for documentation and communication.
• The ability to establish positive and trusting relationships with patients to help them achieve their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in home health settings or environments focused on rehabilitation, particularly those familiar with orthopedic cases. A proven record of using evidence-based practices to deliver patient care is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

Tri-County Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
