Work Environment

This role will be primarily onsite, offering services directly within patients' homes. The position provides a unique opportunity to create an intimate and personalized therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating and assessing patients referred by physicians to develop tailored treatment plans effective in addressing their orthopedic challenges.
• Implementing a variety of therapeutic interventions and techniques within the patient's home, aimed at enhancing mobility and restoring function as per the physician's directives.
• Utilizing evidence-based practices to deliver effective rehabilitative care for different patient demographics, particularly in orthopedic settings.
• Providing education and support to patients and their caregivers to facilitate improved understanding of treatment goals and techniques.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously to adhere to medical requirements and ensure continuity of care.
• Demonstrating exemplary customer service and fostering strong relationships to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Participating in ongoing team discussions to maximize the effectiveness of patient treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily focus on orthopedic patients, offering care to individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. This role also includes treating pediatric and neurologic cases, ensuring your approach is varied and enriched by diverse clinical experiences. Your ability to establish strong rapport with patients will empower them to exceed their functional goals and return to normal activities faster.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (APTA or CAPTE-approved).
• A valid state license for physical therapy practice in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills — ability to clearly convey information to patients and families.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer tasks, contributing to efficient administrative functions.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in home health therapy, especially with orthopedic patients, will be favorably considered. A background in working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams can enhance your integration into our practice.
