Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed and comprehensive mental health assessments to effectively understand and evaluate the unique needs of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans, considering the individual developmental stages, family circumstances, and cultural backgrounds of clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other relevant modalities, to address a wide range of disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers, equipping them with the tools needed to create supportive environments conducive to healing and growth.

• Collaborate harmoniously with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support, implementing appropriate strategies during mental health emergencies that involve minors.

• Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, effective treatment options, and community resources available for additional support.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in continual professional development, attending training sessions and staying current with emerging research and best practices in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents suffering from mental health disorders, collaborating with their families to facilitate their mental well-being. Your work will contribute significantly to improving treatment outcomes by fostering a nurturing and understanding relationship with each patient.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions to individual patients as well as their families and caregivers.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant setting.

• Proven experience working with children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges.

• Comfort with virtual therapy platforms and experience in telehealth delivery.
