Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that consider individual developmental stages, family dynamics, and cultural backgrounds.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and play therapy, to treat a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Provide family therapy sessions to engage parents and caregivers, enhancing their capacity to support their child's mental health effectively.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals for coordinated care, ensuring all aspects of the child’s health are addressed.

• Respond to mental health crises with appropriate interventions, offering immediate support to children and adolescents in distress.

• Educate families about mental health conditions, empowering them with knowledge about treatment options and available community resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records of therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in weekly team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is preferred.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in contemporary therapeutic techniques designed for working with children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
