Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a range of activities aimed at improving client well-being, including:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' musculoskeletal and functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests to devise personalized treatment plans.
• Implementing and directing physical therapy treatment designed to prevent disability and relieve pain while enhancing muscle function and maintaining optimal performance, always aligned with the client's care plan.
• Supervising and guiding Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to the established care plan while fostering their professional development.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and utilizing physical modalities to facilitate recovery and improve quality of life.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to total treatment planning and review client progress, making necessary adjustments to the treatment strategy.
• Maintaining exceptional clinical records that comply with federal and state regulations, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Educating clients and families on therapeutic devices and programs to enable them to participate actively in their rehabilitation journey.
• Assessing home environments to recommend modifications that enhance client independence and functional capabilities.
• Delivering your expertise as the public face of Life Scape, advocating for our services, and embodying our commitment to exceptional patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population, primarily focusing on orthopedic cases, helping clients recover from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. This role requires a deep understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation, and a strong commitment to enhancing each patient's quality of life through effective therapy strategies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current physical therapy licensure in good standing in New Jersey.
• Certification in CPR to ensure a safe therapy environment.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for home visits, as needed.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least one year of experience as a physical therapist, particularly in acute care or home care settings. A comprehensive understanding of home healthcare regulations and a proven track record of successful patient outcomes will be advantageous.
