Position Overview

SpringLeaf Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physical Therapist to join our team in Fresno, California. This full-time position is designed for a skilled professional who is passionate about helping patients regain their mobility and improve their overall quality of life. You will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care to individuals at varying stages of rehabilitation, conducting assessments, and implementing tailored treatment plans in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility.

Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest in sports medicine technology. We emphasize a patient-centered approach, working closely with each individual to address their unique needs, particularly those with private medical insurance.

Work Environment

The position requires onsite interaction with a diverse patient population within our rehabilitation facility. Working in a collaborative environment, you will be part of a team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Your workspace is designed to foster productivity and support patient recovery, all while located in a region known for its welcoming community and support for local healthcare initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and establish individualized treatment objectives.
• Manage an efficient patient load, typically involving one patient per hour, while providing timely and effective evaluation and care.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based techniques to ensure recovery and mobility enhancements for patients.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities and interventions to optimize functional outcomes, focusing on promoting health and wellness.
• Educate patients on their conditions and motivate them to actively participate in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to streamline patient care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, WebPT.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions and adapt care plans as necessary based on progress assessments.
• Actively engage in continuous professional development to stay current with rehabilitation advancements and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. These individuals often seek not only rehabilitation but also education on preventive measures, allowing them to maintain long-term wellness and mobility. With a commitment to minimizing the necessity for medication and avoiding surgery, you will provide alternative rehabilitation solutions that prioritize holistic health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality, patient-oriented care.
• Proven record of managing a diverse patient caseload in an orthopedic outpatient setting.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation is highly valued.
• Proficiency in advanced manual therapy techniques and exercise programming is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate patients effectively toward achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
