Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain, in line with each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Oversee and guide the efforts of physical therapy assistants to ensure the precise execution of prescribed physical therapy interventions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of each patient's functional abilities using advanced diagnostic methods, including assessments of muscle strength, range of motion, and motor skills.
• Evaluate patient home environments to identify modifications that could facilitate greater independence and improve overall quality of life.
• Provide direct physical therapy services as directed by physicians, employing a range of techniques such as therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other physical agents.
• Document clinical findings and treatment responses, maintaining precise and timely records including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and collaboratively develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Instruct patients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices, appropriate exercise regimens, and provide guidance on adherence to the physical therapy program.
• Regularly assess and report changes in patients' conditions, suggesting modifications to treatment protocols when necessary.
• Engage in continuous professional development by keeping abreast of advancements in orthopedic physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation due to post-surgical recovery, injury rehabilitation, or chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with a diverse population of individuals, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients needing assistance following hip or knee surgeries. Your expertise and compassionate approach will be crucial in promoting their health and mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during treatment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Ortho Care Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
