Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our rehabilitation center in Fresno, California, where you will be part of a collaborative healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of new patients to identify their physical therapy needs, focusing on their orthopedic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that include various evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' mobility and strength.
• Implement and administer therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment regimens, and prevention strategies to foster their active participation in the healing process.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on multidisciplinary care approaches.
• Provide motivation and support to patients throughout their therapy journey, encouraging a positive outlook and commitment to recovery.
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure that all equipment is functional and safe for use.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices and orthopedic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation for joint replacements, sports injuries, and individuals experiencing chronic pain. The patient demographic consists largely of individuals with private medical insurance, highlighting our commitment to offering top-notch services tailored to their specific needs.

Qualifications

• A valid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• No prior disciplinary actions or board actions against the professional license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation methods.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to effectively manage patient documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting is highly desirable.
• Strong background in developing comprehensive fitness and wellness programs tailored to patient capabilities and goals.
• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
