Work Environment

This position entails working onsite within our vibrant rehabilitation facility, where teamwork and communication are paramount. You will collaborate closely with a proficient team consisting of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Operating Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, your work life will allow for a balanced professional and personal schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to establish their physical therapy needs and goals.
• Manage a productive patient caseload, averaging one patient per hour, while ensuring high quality and effectiveness of care.
• Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of modalities aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and functionality.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions tailored to each patient's specific conditions.
• Regularly assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Promote preventive health strategies to minimize the necessity for medications or invasive surgical procedures.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes thoroughly to maintain compliance and inform ongoing care strategies.
• Provide education and motivation to patients, empowering them to remain active participants in their own rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to formulate a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Stay abreast of relevant advancements in physical therapy and update skills through continuous education and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is primarily on orthopedic outpatient care, treating a diverse range of patients recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic pain. Most of our clientele are covered by private medical insurance, allowing for a range of treatment modalities that can be utilized without financial constraints. Your role will involve interacting with patients of various ages and backgrounds, emphasizing a tailored, empathetic approach to each individual's needs and aspirations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Valid and active Physical Therapy license in California.
• A clean record with no prior board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Proficient understanding and practical knowledge of manual therapy techniques.
• Experience in developing personalized exercise regimens and wellness programs for patients.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software platforms, with preference given to candidates familiar with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a strong preference for experience in orthopedic outpatient environments.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a consistently high patient workload while maintaining a standard of excellence.
• Strong communication skills, enabling constructive collaboration with healthcare colleagues and the ability to empower patients.

Compensation and Benefits
