Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in our well-appointed rehabilitation center located in the heart of Fresno, California. Our clinic features a modern layout designed for optimal patient interaction and care delivery, covering 5,000 square feet dedicated to therapeutic activities. You will be partnering with a dynamic team of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to providing exceptional orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and determine therapeutic needs based on medical histories and relevant assessments.
• Develop and implement targeted treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques that include manual therapy and evidence-based exercise programs.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring ample time for thorough evaluation and care.
• Monitor patients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary and providing continued encouragement to enhance their rehabilitation journey.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, such as WebPT, to maintain compliance and facilitate continuity of care.
• Consult with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and specialists, to develop coordinated care plans that address each patient's unique therapeutic goals.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, injury prevention techniques, and home exercise plans to support their recovery and long-term wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, offering rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population with a focus on orthopedic and sports-related injuries. You will have the opportunity to work with patients recovering from surgeries, rehabilitating sports injuries, and those seeking to improve their physical capabilities for daily activities or athletic performance.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong competency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Knowledge and experience working with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to document patient care effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients and collaborate with other healthcare providers.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, ensuring familiarity with the complexities of patient care in this environment.
• Expertise in developing individualized treatment plans that positively impact patients' recovery trajectories.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
