Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' muscle, skeletal, neurological, and other physical conditions to establish a tailored treatment plan.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic treatments and exercise regimens to improve patient mobility and functionality.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly to maintain compliance with quality assurance policies and ensure efficient care coordination.
• Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other department colleagues to foster a collaborative treatment environment.
• Assist in the ongoing education and development of students and junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and improvement within the organization.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to address and resolve patient issues or concerns promptly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily serve a diverse outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, those managing chronic pain or injuries, and patients with mobility challenges. Your role will involve working with clients from various cultural backgrounds and age groups, requiring cultural sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current and valid California Physical Therapy License.
• CPR certification is preferred but not mandatory.
