Work Environment

This position is onsite, allowing you to engage directly with patients in our modern facility. Operating Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will work alongside a small, supportive team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The work environment fosters collaboration and open communication, designed to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments to identify patient needs and establish tailored treatment objectives.
• Deliver efficient care by managing a structured patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring each individual's treatment is effective and personalized.
• Design and implement comprehensive care plans employing a variety of physical therapy techniques, including hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to motivate and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey, enhancing their overall functional abilities and mobility.
• Document all services provided accurately in accordance with organizational procedures, contributing to effective patient communication and care continuity.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care and timely consultation when necessary.
• Monitor patient's progress throughout treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients on lifestyle changes and wellness strategies to promote ongoing health and wellness post-recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal disorders. Working closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, you will tailor your approach to meet the specific needs of each patient, facilitating not only recovery but also enhancing health and fitness levels.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A valid certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California, with a clean record (no disciplinary actions).
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Ability to utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, for efficient patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, where you have effectively implemented treatment plans for similar patient populations.
• Strong background in developing rehabilitative exercise programs tailored to individual patient goals and progress.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for the Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
