Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Fresno, California. Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a premier rehabilitation facility specializing in orthopedic outpatient therapies. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet, equipped with advanced sports medicine resources to facilitate optimal patient care. We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment among our team of qualified professionals, which includes two highly experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our focus is on delivering personalized treatment plans, primarily to patients with private medical insurance.

Work Environment

This onsite position is set in a modern rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Fresno, California. Our clinic is designed to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for both patients and staff. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured daytime routine that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health conditions and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Efficiently manage patient loads, attending to one patient per hour to ensure high-quality care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide cost-effective treatments that enhance patients' mobility and overall function.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in their condition.
• Document all services provided meticulously to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and to support continuity of care.
• Educate patients on exercises, lifestyle changes, and proper body mechanics to promote long-term wellness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize treatment outcomes and ensure comprehensive care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, aiding them in overcoming physical and emotional barriers.
• Promote a preventative approach to health by advising on nutrition, exercise, and wellness strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. By employing therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription, you will help clients ranging from athletes to post-operative patients recover their physical capabilities effectively.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current certification and licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Maintain a clean professional record, with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques, exercise regimen development, and motivational interviewing.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to facilitate patient documentation and billing processes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
