Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred from physicians, creating customized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions for patients, ensuring that each session aligns with their recovery goals.
• Document patient progress meticulously within our electronic health record system to track improvements and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities specific to orthopedic rehabilitation while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Build rapport with patients by ensuring excellent customer service and support through each stage of their treatment journey.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with medical providers to maximize treatment effectiveness and facilitate smooth transitions in care.
• Educate patients and their families about physical therapy techniques, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs.
• Meet or exceed utilization and productivity targets to contribute to the overall performance of the center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries. You will also treat individuals with varied rehabilitation needs, including sports-related injuries and post-operative recovery. This diverse patient population allows for a rich clinical experience where you can apply your skills in various therapeutic modalities while fostering strong therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is a must.
• Solid understanding and experience with orthopedic rehabilitation approaches.
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer applications.
• Commitment to cultivating strong patient relationships and delivering personalized care.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic care preferred.
• A background in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams is advantageous.
• Experience in mentoring or training junior staff or students is a plus.
