Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions, including diagnostic interviews and standardized assessment tools.
• Create individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs and goals, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, employing therapeutic techniques to assist clients in exploring and addressing their mental health challenges.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared learning experiences, focusing on specific issues such as anxiety, depression, or relationship dynamics.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in client needs or circumstances.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all client interactions, treatment progress, and updates to treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to deliver comprehensive care, ensuring that clients receive holistic support tailored to their situations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including workshops and training sessions, to remain current with evolving mental health practices and technologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The mental health counselor will work primarily with a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. You will encounter a range of concerns, from acute crises to chronic mental health issues, providing the opportunity to make a significant impact on clients' lives while fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• A valid state license (LMHC) to practice as a mental health counselor in Washington.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a solid understanding of therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective client relationships and collaboration with peers.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and telehealth technologies.

Compensation and Benefits
