Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our Home Care facility in Purcellville, Virginia. You will be part of a collaborative team, including three other physical therapists and several physical therapy assistants. Our clinical setting allows for one-on-one patient interactions, fostering strong relationships and meaningful progress tracking. Our facility supports a patient-centric approach, and we encourage ongoing professional development in an environment designed for effective treatment and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' needs, goals, and treatment plans.
• Deliver individualized one-on-one physical therapy sessions, generally treating 7-8 patients per day.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques and modalities, including eletrical stimulation and hot packs, to facilitate recovery.
• Incorporate various exercises and equipment, such as treadmills and stationary bikes, into warm-up routines to prepare patients for therapy.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously to ensure accountability and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Design and implement fitness and wellness programs rooted in each patient's specific needs and lifestyle.
• Motivate and encourage patients to achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on treating athletes and active individuals recovering from sports-related injuries. Common conditions include knee pain, lower back pain, shoulder discomfort, and elbow injuries. You will leverage your expertise to guide these patients through rehabilitation protocols tailored to enhance their athletic performance while ensuring a full recovery.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia State License to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Exemplary clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills to foster patient relationships.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced sports clinic or rehabilitation facility.
• Hands-on experience with a wide variety of treatment modalities and therapeutic exercises.
• Demonstrated ability to create effective patient care plans based on individual assessments.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes:
