Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments that evaluate patients' history with trauma and help identify barriers to healing.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are centered on trauma recovery and focus on building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailoring each approach to the specific needs of residents.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that enable clients to effectively process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated treatment plans that address the full spectrum of client needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel safe and supported.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring consistent care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have faced trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role calls for a nuanced understanding of how trauma can impact mental health and the various strategies required to foster healing. By working closely with clients, you will be a key player in advocating for their well-being and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure in New York State as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly within trauma-focused therapy practices.

• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• A strong ability to remain composed under pressure, especially during crises.

• Competence with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.

• Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative culture within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, reflecting your experience and skill level.
