Work Environment

This position offers a flexible work setting, allowing you to perform your duties remotely while being part of a dynamic outpatient office. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' psychological and substance use issues, focusing on the identification of co-occurring disorders and the formulation of effective treatment strategies.
• Partner with clients to develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices that cater to their unique mental health and substance use recovery needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering coping mechanisms, fostering emotional regulation, and equipping clients with relapse prevention strategies.
• Engage in multidisciplinary care coordination to ensure a comprehensive treatment experience, actively participating in team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment adjustments.
• Participate in regular substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to inspire clients to commit to their recovery journeys.
• Educate clients and their families on the significant interplay between mental health and substance use disorders and advocate for the importance of ongoing treatment adherence.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of assessment outcomes, treatment plans, and therapy progress, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
• Contribute to case conferences and staff training sessions that enhance knowledge in treating co-occurring disorders, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily focus on clients facing complex challenges stemming from co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our targeted population varies in age and background, providing you with a diverse clientele requiring tailored approaches to their unique scenarios. Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Licensing: Must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the State of California.
• Therapeutic Skills: Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic approaches targeted for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong capacity for teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary setting, demonstrating effective communication with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with the latest mental health evidence-based practices and clinical best practices.
• Understanding of community resources and support systems available for clients in their recovery journeys.

Compensation and Benefits

Serene Behavioral Health Group Inc offers an attractive annual salary in the range of USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
