Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and improving muscle function within the parameters set by each client's unique capabilities.
• Evaluate each patient's level of function using diagnostic and prognostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities accurately.
• Conduct thorough assessments of the patient's home environment and strategically recommend modifications that promote independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, involving both manual and non-manual techniques, and motivate patients to engage in their rehabilitation exercises effectively.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, ensuring they meet the needs of each client and providing necessary recommendations to the prescribing physician.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that treatment plans are implemented correctly and that care meets all regulatory standards.
• Document and maintain comprehensive clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress reports, and summaries that contribute to each patient's health documentation.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate patient treatment progress and adjust care plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on the use and maintenance of physical therapy devices, as well as on their overall therapy regimen.
• Uphold all regulatory requirements, including timely submission of clinical and payroll documentation as required by company policy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a variety of clients, ranging from those recovering from surgery to individuals managing chronic conditions, neurological issues, or age-related physical challenges. Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in physical therapy or an equivalent qualification from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted physical therapy licensure in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in rehabilitation or home care environments.
• Current certification in CPR, as well as valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to quality patient care, clinical excellence, and ethical practice. Demonstrated ability to engage positively with patients and their families.
