Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify students' emotional and social needs, collaborating with educational staff to develop individualized support plans.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students, addressing issues like anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and grief.

• Develop and implement crisis intervention protocols, ensuring that students in distress receive immediate support and appropriate resources.

• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create a comprehensive understanding of each student's needs, facilitating a cohesive approach to their education and well-being.

• Facilitate workshops and educational sessions for students, parents, and staff on mental health awareness, coping strategies, and available resources.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient progress in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.

• Coordinate with community resources to ensure students have access to necessary services post-discharge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary clientele will consist of diverse students from various socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly within the Latinx community. You will engage with students facing a range of challenges, from academic stress and family issues to more severe mental health conditions. Our approach emphasizes cultural sensitivity and a commitment to addressing systemic barriers affecting our clients' mental health and academic success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits\n
