Key Responsibilities\n

The responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Counselor will include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate client needs and develop personalized treatment plans in partnership with the clients.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring all notes and documentation related to client services are completed and submitted within 48 hours.
\n
• Provide emergency support as outlined in the after-hours on-call schedule, demonstrating quick and effective crisis intervention skills.
\n
• Participate actively in scheduled programmatic meetings, including clinical supervision and staff meetings, fostering positive team collaboration.
\n
• Implement evidence-based psychotherapy techniques for clients presenting various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
\n
• Actively coordinate and communicate with inter-agency program providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
\n
• Prepare detailed discharge summaries to facilitate continuity of care upon client transition or termination of therapy.
\n
• Facilitate individual, family, or group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic modalities to suit the needs of each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor at Inner Refuge, you will work primarily with adults and adolescents, addressing a wide range of mental health issues. The role requires you to demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity while tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of diverse clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a human services-related field is mandatory.

• Current licensure in Washington State as either an LPC, LICSW, or LMFT.

• Familiarity or willingness to learn electronic medical record (EMR) systems is required.
