Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans that leverage evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to help patients navigate the emotional complexities of cancer treatment and survivorship, facilitating support groups that promote community and connection.

• Maintain confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards, ensuring adherence to best practices in documentation and reporting.

• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each patient’s care plan, contributing to their overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with cancer patients at various stages of their treatment journey, including diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. This role requires sensitivity and empathy as you help clients cope with the psychological challenges associated with their conditions, providing support not only to patients but also to their caregivers as they navigate these difficult situations.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.

• Current licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.

• No history of medical malpractice claims, as verified by a third-party background check.

• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits\n
