Key Responsibilities\n

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, you will engage in a variety of essential duties, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial evaluations and creating tailored treatment plans that blend traditional and innovative therapeutic approaches.

• Facilitating both in-person and remote sessions for individuals, couples, families, or groups based on client needs.

• Employing evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address the unique challenges faced by our patients.

• Staying current with advancements in mental health treatment methodologies and integrating relevant findings into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to address the mental and emotional health needs of cancer patients at all stages of their journey. This includes individuals grappling with the psychological impacts of diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. You will also support caregivers and loved ones, providing them with the tools and resources to manage the emotional challenges of caring for someone with cancer. Your work will directly contribute to the emotional well-being and outcome success of these individuals, helping them navigate their experiences with greater resilience and understanding.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Current licensure as one of the following: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

• Clear record with no history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.

• Valid authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with prior experience in oncology mental health settings or those who have worked with diverse populations are highly desirable.
