Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and facilitate group sessions at our outpatient center, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

• Implement evidence-based techniques to assist children in developing anger management strategies, coping mechanisms, and social skills while also working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.

• Enhance decision-making skills for both youth and caregivers to effectively handle in-home behavioral challenges and promote a healthier family dynamic.

• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and engage with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive support for the families we serve.

• Ensure all clinical documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, is completed and submitted within designated timelines to maintain our high-quality service standards.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, discuss case progress, and contribute to program development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting children aged 3 to 20 who are confronting intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will work closely with families, providing them with tailored therapeutic interventions that address behavioral challenges and emotional stressors, thereby enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours of service per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with a willingness to offer weekend sessions as needed.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are essential for travel to client homes.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to employment.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
