Work Environment\n

This full-time role is structured as a remote position, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong commitment to patient care. However, the therapist will also engage with colleagues in an outpatient office setting when necessary for team meetings and supervision. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history, ensuring a tailored approach to their care.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, leveraging techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions where patients can process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and cultivate resilience.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated care approach.

• Provide crisis intervention and responsive support during psychological emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources, fostering awareness and understanding.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in full compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality control in treatment delivery.

• Participate in regular case consultations and professional development opportunities focusing on trauma-informed care, ensuring continuous growth in your practice.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and evidence-based practices in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into your clinical work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals affected by various forms of trauma. This includes those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a therapist, you will create individualized care strategies that address the unique facets of each patient’s experiences, contributing to their healing and overall psychological well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working in mental health therapy, particularly with trauma-informed care.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, alongside familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and supportive approach to patient care.
\n
• The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ensuring that patient needs are prioritized.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications to maintain patient documentation.

• Collaborative mindset, thriving in a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience delivering evidence-based trauma-focused therapies.

• Training in additional therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a plus.

• A history of participation in continuing education activities related to trauma care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
