Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients’ trauma histories and determine suitable treatment modalities.

• Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing trauma recovery and fostering resilience through tailored goals and evidence-based interventions.

• Implement therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate therapy sessions that enable patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and encourage emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive comprehensive and integrated care.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate support and guidance during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards while maximizing the efficiency of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including various forms of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your work will involve supporting diverse clients, including adults, adolescents, and potentially families, as they navigate their trauma recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Proficiency in trauma-informed care principles and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities for trauma-related disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients.

• Capacity to maintain composure in high-stress situations while effectively managing client needs.

• Strong technical skills, particularly with electronic health records and relevant healthcare software.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Touchstone Therapy Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
