Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Rehabilitation Facility

Lakeportside Mind Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Physical Therapist. This full-time, onsite role in Stockton, California, offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial part in our patients' rehabilitation journeys, addressing their physical health needs with empathy and professionalism. Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will be working in a collaborative environment alongside a team of two experienced physical therapists and a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Our practice predominantly serves patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that you will engage with motivated individuals who are keen on reclaiming their health. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that allows for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions and capabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
• Administer therapeutic interventions focused on pain management, mobility enhancement, and functional improvement.
• Monitor patients' progress diligently, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like WebPT to track patient outcomes.
• Educate and motivate patients about their conditions and treatment goals, fostering a collaborative approach to their recovery.
• Engage in teamwork and regular communication with other healthcare professionals to optimize care coordination.
• Advocate for patient health by promoting preventive care practices and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Manage a steady patient load, aiming for one patient per hour to ensure focused and effective treatment.
• Promote effective pain management strategies to minimize reliance on medications or surgical interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic issues, sport-related injuries, and other mobility impairments requiring rehabilitative support. Our patient population consists of individuals at various stages of recovery, ranging from newcomers beginning their rehabilitation to those requiring ongoing support for chronic conditions, each with unique needs and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record, with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Competence in manual therapy techniques, with an understanding of orthopedic and sports medicine.
• Proficiency in creating tailored exercise regimens based on individual assessments.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and compassionately.
• Experience in patient education and community outreach initiatives is a plus.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary teamwork approaches and best practices in rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and paid time off.
