Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a remote environment and supports various school districts in San Bernardino, California. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, including students of all age groups, their families, and educational staff. Regular communication with school administration is essential to ensure a supportive environment for interventions and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify mental health needs and develop personalized care plans tailored to individual circumstances and educational goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other applicable modalities to encourage positive mental health outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of clinical activities, ensuring compliance with established ethical and organizational guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team of educators, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated mental health support.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops for students and caregivers to promote awareness, offer resources, and equip families with tools to manage mental health challenges.
• Stay updated with emerging mental health research and best practices to enhance your therapeutic approach and clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve school-aged children, adolescents, and their families. The role involves addressing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and crisis intervention. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering resilience and promoting well-being among students, collaborating with families to create supportive home environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Must possess an active LCSW license in California.
• Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with diverse populations, including children, parents, and education professionals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective documentation and collaboration.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health or school-based setting.
