Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and physical examinations for students from diverse backgrounds.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies, to guide treatment decisions.
• Develop and implement individualized patient-centered care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, ensuring comprehensive support for each patient's needs.
• Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate treatments while actively educating patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
• Engage in health education initiatives within the school community, promoting topics such as nutrition, mental health, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to track patient progress and discuss treatment approaches, adapting plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement projects focused on enhancing medical procedures and patient care outcomes.

You will be primarily serving the school population, which includes a diverse mix of students from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits
