Key Responsibilities\n

• Maintain accessibility for patients and their families by responding to calls and emails promptly, ensuring all communications are addressed within 2 hours during business hours and within 24 hours outside of business hours.

• Collaborate closely with the Utilization Review and Business departments regarding authorizations and payments, while also engaging with referral sources and outpatient providers to guarantee seamless continuity of care.
\n
• Implement proactive discharge planning starting from the day of admission, conducting discharge sessions to ensure patients grasp their transition plans and available resources.
\n
• Manage crises effectively during therapy sessions, providing support to milieu staff to enhance patient interactions and outcomes.
\n
• Complete comprehensive and timely clinical documentation for all patient encounters at the time of service, ensuring best practices in record-keeping are consistently followed.
\n
• Establish strong therapeutic rapport with patients and their families while thoroughly assessing for any risks, including suicidality and potential harm.
\n
• Conduct professional and courteous admission assessments that set a welcoming tone for new patients, and engage in clinical outreach as required.
\n
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings to share insights, discuss treatment goals, and coordinate care, potentially stepping in to support fellow clinicians when necessary.

• Perform utilization reviews for insurance companies, providing necessary clinical details to secure initial and continued stay authorizations.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population includes adults and adolescents presenting with a range of mental health issues. Our clients often seek therapy for conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. As a counselor, you will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, requiring cultural sensitivity and a tailored approach to treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work from an accredited institution (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD).

• A valid independent license for practice in Oregon, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.

• Proven ability to manage a significant caseload, interfacing effectively with varied stakeholders, including patients, family members, and healthcare providers.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and efficient communication via email.
