Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, which includes reviewing medical histories, performing physical assessments, and determining appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Clearly communicating evaluation findings and treatment plans to both patients and their families while encouraging their involvement in goal-setting for rehabilitation.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to the individual patient's needs, adapting your approach as necessary based on their progress and evolving health conditions.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and documenting any changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments to their care plan.
• Engaging in discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure continuity in rehabilitation.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities, mentoring on-site students or new staff, and contributing to departmental goals and initiatives.
• Promoting accessibility and excellent patient experience, addressing barriers to care and actively participating in marketing efforts for the center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, including postoperative rehabilitation for joint surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our team approach involves working closely with each patient to develop personalized rehabilitation plans that reflect their specific needs, ensuring that they achieve their fullest potential and regain their quality of life.

Qualifications

The candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Current state licensure in Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on patient engagement and education.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not required, candidates with clinical exposure to orthopedic rehabilitation and demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team will be preferred. Compensation and Benefits
