Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, gathering valuable information regarding clients’ mental health needs, strengths, and support systems.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy to promote client recovery and resilience.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that outline clear intervention strategies and measurable goals customized to each client’s unique circumstances.
• Engage in regular collaboration with your treatment team to ensure that all facets of a client’s mental and emotional well-being are addressed holistically.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments, ensuring clients have robust safety plans in place as they navigate challenging situations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation that adheres to ethical and legal standards to guarantee compliance and protect client confidentiality.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and support sessions aimed at fostering community and skill-building among clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily includes individuals undergoing detoxification and recovery from substance use disorders, many of whom may also experience co-occurring mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. You will work with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet their specific needs with cultural competence. This role is pivotal in promoting emotional well-being and supporting clients in their journey toward sustainable recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
• At least two years of relevant experience in mental health settings, preferably in outpatient or substance use recovery environments.
• In-depth understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices along with a passion for helping individuals overcome mental health challenges.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills, with a focus on building trusting therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in crisis intervention or working within a detox or rehabilitation center is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for seamless documentation and client management.
• Previous engagement in group therapy facilitation or psychoeducational programming.
