Decker Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis at our rehabilitation center located in Carteret, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is strictly onsite within a supportive and dynamic team environment at our Carteret facility. As an orthopedic physical therapist, you will have direct contact with clients and their families, working collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals to create an unparalleled rehabilitation experience. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic testing of muscle, nerve, and joint performance to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Direct physical therapy interventions focused on alleviating pain, preventing disabilities, and restoring mobility, consistently aligning with physician-prescribed care plans.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective execution of therapy protocols, while providing ongoing education and support as needed.
• Observe, document, and analyze clients' responses to therapeutic interventions, revising care plans and communicating changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members as required.
• Deliver hands-on treatments, including manual exercises, traction, and therapeutic modalities, to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation objectives.
• Assess home environments to suggest modifications that will enhance client independence and safety during recovery.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise to holistic care discussions and treatment strategy evaluations.
• Prepare and maintain meticulous clinical records, including initial evaluations, treatment progress notes, and detailed discharge summaries.
• Educate clients and their families on home exercise programs and the proper use of physical therapy devices to encourage continued rehabilitation outside the clinical setting.
• Complete other duties as assigned to meet organizational goals and ensure optimal patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our team serves a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the New Jersey Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• At least two years of experience as a physical therapist in orthopedic rehabilitation is required.
• A valid CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and care coordination.
• Familiarity with community resources related to physical therapy and rehabilitation services.
• Background in managing treatment and care for diverse disability cases.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional comprehensive benefits include:
