Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through comprehensive preliminary interviews to document clients’ progression from initial consultation to treatment completion.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify unique challenges and opportunities for healing.
\n
• Create and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Lead therapeutic sessions, both individual and group, efficiently guiding discussions and providing interventions that promote healing and growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress against established treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other mental health professionals, physicians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify and mitigate any factors or behaviors in clients that may hinder their recovery process.

• Offer support and strategies to family members and primary caregivers to manage mental and emotional challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve working with a varied clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other complex emotional challenges. You will employ evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of your clients, in alignment with the standards outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). Your insights and methodologies will significantly impact their recovery and ability to thrive.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of relevant examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience in clinical counseling, with a focus on mental health treatment.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for efficient documentation and client management.
\n
• Knowledge of various mental health conditions, both physical and emotional, along with addiction disorders and their implications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey therapeutic concepts and collaborate with clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients.
