Blackwood Physical Therapy and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Morristown, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a crucial part in aiding our patients to regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life. Our practice is dedicated to a holistic approach, where you will be involved in the promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation of our patients, maximizing their functional abilities through personalized care plans.

Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our modern rehabilitation center, equipped with cutting-edge technology and resources designed to optimize patient care. Our collaborative environment includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, fostering teamwork and support. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their unique needs and establish treatment objectives.
• Manage a caseload effectively, treating one patient per hour while ensuring individualized attention and care.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Educate patients and their families on intervention strategies, progress expectations, and home exercise programs.
• Monitor patient progress consistently and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient care services meticulously, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Promote wellness and injury prevention through fitness programs aimed at improving strength, coordination, and mobility.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address complex patient needs.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, leveraging your expertise to build their confidence.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements and continually integrate new methodologies and evidence-based practices into your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients requiring outpatient rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, or other musculoskeletal conditions. We value customized care, ensuring each patient receives the attention and rehabilitation strategies they need to achieve their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey with a clean professional record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a track record of effective intervention strategies.
• Experience in developing and executing exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software platforms, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly advantageous.
• Experience working with diverse patient groups and adapting treatment approaches accordingly.
• Ability to engage in continuous professional development and training within the field.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
