Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gather detailed histories of patients’ trauma experiences, thereby identifying suitable and effective treatment strategies.

• Craft and execute individualized treatment plans targeting specific trauma recovery goals, which may include resilience-building exercises tailored to each patient’s circumstances.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to underscore trauma recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote their holistic healing journey.

• Collaborate with fellow healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, to ensure integrated treatment approaches that address the multifaceted needs of patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating compassion and expertise in sensitive situations.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available coping strategies, and community resources that can aid their recovery.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient information, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work closely with a diverse patient population predominantly composed of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes those coping with domestic violence, childhood abuse, and acute stress responses. Your role will be instrumental in providing them with the necessary tools and support to embark on their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience, preferably in mental health counseling.
\n
• Demonstrated competency in understanding and treating trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, reflecting a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress environments while providing empathetic support to patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
