This role offers flexible remote work settings through our telehealth platform, enabling you to provide therapeutic services from the comfort of your own home while reaching clients across various locations. We use advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and facilitate communication, ensuring that our therapists can focus more on patient care and less on administrative tasks. Our hours of operation are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma history, emotional well-being, and identify the most effective treatment paths.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique experience and focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions that encourage clients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and build support networks.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and supportive demeanor.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to assist in their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and interventions in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

As a mental health therapist at Life Carriage Counseling Center, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, accidents, and significant life events. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.

• Knowledge and experience in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, showing compassion and a non-judgmental approach.

• Capability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, providing support to clients in need.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
