Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their homes, assessing their physical status and rehabilitation needs following injury, surgery, or illness.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that patient goals are met and their mobility is improved.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, tracking treatments, progress, and any modifications to therapy goals.
• Advise patients on the use of assistive devices and mobility aids, tailoring recommendations to enhance their independence and quality of life.
• Collaborate with caregivers and family members to ensure cohesive support and understanding of treatment objectives.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy by participating in workshops and engaging with professional literature and societies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing care to a diverse patient population, including children and elderly clients with various diagnoses. Your role will focus on maximizing their functional potential and ensuring they receive empathetic and effective therapeutic care.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records for maintaining accurate documentation.
• A flexible and adaptable nature, allowing quick responses to changing patient needs.

Preferred Experience
