Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a caseload of clients, establishing trust and positive working relationships while maintaining professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conducting regular sessions with clients to assess their progress, discuss stability, schedule future appointments, and determine appropriate discharge planning when necessary.

• Creating, implementing, and monitoring personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.

• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to gather important clinical information and establish treatment pathways.

Your work will primarily assist clients from diverse backgrounds facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current, unrestricted, independent Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting following graduation.

• Proficiency in utilizing various computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, RMS systems, Outlook, and PIMSY, to manage client information and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in telehealth counseling, trauma-informed care, or evidence-based therapeutic practices will be given preference. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health records will enhance your application.
